Jenga Future is a Public Benefit Organization established in 2022 to alleviate poverty caused by climate change–related vulnerabilities while building the resilience of communities in the Rift Valley.
Jenga Future was founded by individuals who grew up in the Rift Valley and personally experienced the devastating effects of floods and landslides. Their lived experiences inspired the creation of a locally led organization focused on climate resilience and sustainable livelihoods.
Our goal is to empower vulnerable communities through regenerative agriculture, forestry, and climate education — helping them adapt, thrive, and build sustainable livelihoods despite the growing effects of climate change.
We currently run three key programs: Roots for Resilience: Tree planting and livelihood diversification for landslide-prone communities. Forest Whisperers Movement: Youth-led environmental education and forest conservation. TerraTech Academy: Capacity building and knowledge sharing on climate action and adaptation.
Our work aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 13 (Climate Action) and the UNFCCC’s Global Goal on Adaptation, ensuring our local initiatives contribute to global climate resilience efforts.
We primarily work with vulnerable communities in the Rift Valley, including smallholder farmers, women, youth, and persons with disabilities who are most affected by climate-related challenges.
You can partner with us through donations, volunteering, knowledge sharing, or by collaborating on community projects. Interested partners can contact us through our website or visit our offices for more information.
Since launching in 2024, our Roots for Resilience program has produced over 10,000 tree seedlings, restored farmland, and empowered women and youth through nursery management and climate education initiatives.
