Roots for Resilience restores land and secures livelihoods.
At Jenga Future, our programs are designed to address the root causes of climate vulnerability while empowering communities to become active agents of change. Each initiative focuses on building resilience, restoring ecosystems, and fostering sustainable livelihoods through regenerative agriculture, forestry, and climate education. Our three flagship programs — Roots for Resilience, Forest Whisperers Movement, and TerraTech Academy — work hand in hand to create a lasting impact across generations.

Restoring Land. Rebuilding Lives. Regenerating Hope.
The Roots for Resilience program is a locally led and data-driven initiative aimed at reducing landslide risks, restoring degraded landscapes, and enhancing livelihoods among communities living along the Rift Valley escarpments.
By integrating value-based tree planting with livelihood diversification, the program ensures that conservation and community prosperity go hand in hand. Women and youth are central to this effort — managing nurseries, cultivating coffee seedlings, and driving reforestation efforts.
Plant 1 million coffee seedlings along the Elgeyo Marakwet escarpments by 2028.
Restore over 1,000 acres of degraded land.
Positively impact 5,000+ farmers through training and participation.
Promote agroforestry and soil conservation practices to mitigate landslides.
Launched in 2024 with two nurseries in Soy South Ward, the program has already produced over 10,000 seedlings successfully planted on farms — demonstrating the power of locally led restoration.
